LA Opera Stages Bernstein's 'Candide' November 21–December 13 with Patti LuPone
The Dorothy Chandler Pavilion (135 N. Grand Ave) in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California, hosts LA Opera's production of Leonard Bernstein's Candide for six performances from November 21 to December 13: November 21, December 2, 5 and 10 at 7:30 p.m., and November 29 and December 13 at 2 p.m.
Francesca Zambello's production is conducted by Resident Conductor Lina González-Granados and features Patti LuPone, with Scott Bakula making his company debut in the dual role of Voltaire and Dr. Pangloss. Sung in English with projected subtitles, the performance runs about two hours and 30 minutes including one intermission.
