SBC Cooperative Program Receipts Total $185.6 Million in Fiscal 2025-26, Nearly Flat Year Over Year

Cooperative Program giving for the fiscal year ending September 30 totaled $185,619,397.15, the Southern Baptist Convention's Executive Committee announced in Nashville, Tennessee, just 0.25 percent below the previous year's $186,091,048.26 and 2.31 percent below the $190 million budget goal. That goal had included a $3 million special allocation for the Executive Committee to cover convention legal expenses.
The Cooperative Program, Southern Baptists' unified funding mechanism instituted in 1925, collects gifts from local churches through state conventions and distributes them weekly according to the convention-approved allocation formula. The largest share, roughly half, goes to the International Mission Board. Theological education, supporting the six SBC seminaries and the Southern Baptist Historical Library and Archives, receives 22.16 percent; the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission receives 1.65 percent; and the SBC operating budget receives 2.99 percent. Including designated gifts, total giving through the Executive Committee reached $197,739,264.07 for the year, with designated gifts down 1.33 percent. National Cooperative Program giving in September alone was $14,192,262.45. Monthly figures are posted at sbc.net/cp.
"On behalf of thousands of missionaries, church planters, seminary students and convention employees, we thank Southern Baptists for their steadfast prayers and gifts which make our shared work possible," said Executive Committee President Jeff Iorg.
The Cooperative Program allocation budget for the new fiscal year is $186 million, with the International Mission Board's share set to rise to 51 percent.
