Miranda Lambert to Headline the 30th Salvation Army Red Kettle Kickoff at the Cowboys Thanksgiving Game

The Salvation Army announced in Frisco, Texas, on October 25 that country music superstar Miranda Lambert will perform at the 30th consecutive Red Kettle Kickoff halftime show, during the Dallas Cowboys' nationally televised Thanksgiving Day game against the Philadelphia Eagles at AT&T Stadium. The game airs on FOX at 3:30 p.m. Central on November 26.
This year marks The Salvation Army's 136th Red Kettle Campaign. Over the last three decades, the kickoff performance has used one of the biggest national stages in sports to help the campaign raise more than $3.4 billion. Reba McEntire headlined the inaugural show in 1997, followed by artists including Destiny's Child, Carrie Underwood, the Jonas Brothers, Selena Gomez, Dolly Parton, Lainey Wilson and, most recently, Post Malone.
Lambert, a multi-platinum, three-time Grammy Award winner and the most-awarded artist in Academy of Country Music history, said: "There's something special about how music brings people together, especially when it's to spread joy and hope to families who need it most. The Salvation Army and the Dallas Cowboys have built an incredible tradition with the Red Kettle Kickoff, and I can't wait to be back home in Texas this Thanksgiving to help carry it forward." Charlotte Jones, the Cowboys' chief brand officer and co-owner, called the kickoff one of the team's proudest traditions. It was Jones herself who, in the 1990s, pitched turning the Thanksgiving halftime show into the launch of the Red Kettle Campaign.
"The Red Kettle Campaign gives people a simple way to spread joy and support their neighbors in need," said Commissioner Merle Heatwole, The Salvation Army's national commander. Every donation stays in the community where it was given. In 2025, The Salvation Army provided more than 28 million service touchpoints through nearly 7,600 centers of operation across the United States.
