Monday, November 2, 2026 · Technology · GSM News

In Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, Tesla's robotaxi service went live at 6 a.m. on November 2, with fully unsupervised rides and no human safety monitor in the vehicle. It is the company's first new robotaxi city in about three months and the fourth in Texas with unsupervised service.

Tesla's official Robotaxi account announced the launch on X with a service-area map. The geofence covers about 143 square miles centered on downtown Fort Worth, stretching west to White Settlement and south to Benbrook. Fort Worth becomes Tesla's seventh unsupervised robotaxi city, after Austin, Dallas, Houston, Miami, Orlando and Tampa. Among unsupervised zones, Austin's 272 square miles and Houston's 254 are the largest. Tesla has not announced vehicle models or fleet size for Fort Worth; the source report says the service starts with Model Y robotaxis.
