Charlotte Transit to Run Free on Election Day: All Routes Free to and From Designated Polling Places on November 3
In Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) announced it will provide complimentary service on Tuesday, November 3, Election Day, on all routes to and from designated polling places, ensuring voters have transportation to cast their ballots. Voters can find their designated polling places through the North Carolina State Board of Elections lookup tool.
CATS also advised riders that, due to construction of a new South End station and rail improvements, Blue Line trains will share tracks between the New Bern and Bland stations from November 2 to 6 and November 9 to 13, with boarding on southbound platforms, and that Rail Trail detours will run through early December, so riders should allow extra time.
