Saturday, October 31, 2026 · Society · GSM News

Police in St. Paul, Ramsey County, Minnesota, updated the public on November 1 on an evacuation the night before at Union Depot downtown. At about 9 p.m. on October 31, a fight broke out during the Bondal Halal Fall Market inside the station, and the crowd fled amid reports of possible gunfire; police sent additional officers and evacuated the building.

After a search, St. Paul police said they found no evidence that a shooting had occurred, that no one was injured and that no arrests were made; the investigation is ongoing. Ramsey County Sheriff Bob Fletcher mentioned in a livestream response that the incident might be gang-related, but St. Paul police, who lead the investigation, have not confirmed that claim.

Market organizers said the event brought together more than 100 local vendors and ended about two hours early because of the incident; they apologized to attendees and said they are cooperating with the police investigation.
