Pittsburgh Area Releases Election Day Arrangements: Mail Ballots Due by 8 p.m. on November 3, Polls Open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The Allegheny County elections division in Pennsylvania has released its arrangements for Election Day, November 3, and the preceding weekend. Ballot drop-off locations across the county will be open on October 31 and November 1, where voters can return completed mail-in or absentee ballots.
The county elections division said mail-in and absentee ballots must reach the county elections office by 8 p.m. on Election Day, November 3, to be counted; later arrivals will not count. The deadline to apply for a mail ballot has passed, so voters who have not applied can only vote in person at their assigned polling place on Election Day.
On Tuesday, November 3, polling places across the county will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., and voters still in line at 8 p.m. may still vote; the ballot also includes county council, judicial and other offices. The elections division said results will be posted on the county website on election night, and voters can check the status of their own ballot on the state department's website.
