Seattle Chinese Information and Service Center Holds Instrument Class and Chinese Knot Session on Same Day

In King County, Washington, the Chinese Information and Service Center (CISC) held two community cultural programs on November 2.
From 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., the center ran a Chinese musical instrument class at the North Bellevue Community Center in Bellevue, teaching erhu, guzheng, pipa and dizi. From 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., it held a Chinese knot crochet session at Sunshine Garden, 611 S Lane St in Seattle.
CISC is headquartered at 611 S Lane St in Seattle and has long served immigrant families; its stated aims include helping immigrant families thrive, building welcoming communities and creating opportunity for generations. Classes of this kind give Chinese community members a structured way to learn traditional arts and offer residents of all backgrounds a window into Chinese culture.
