WASHINGTON: President Donald Trump will deliver remarks at 2:00 p.m. Eastern on Monday, November 2, at the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool in Washington, according to the White House daily guidance and press schedule. The speech, on the final day before the November 3 midterm elections, serves as the closing event of Trump's month-long campaign swing; he is also scheduled to take part in nine tele-rallies from the White House the same day.

Under the schedule released by the White House, Trump first joins tele-rallies at 11:00 a.m. and 11:45 a.m., then departs the White House for the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, where he delivers remarks at 2:00 p.m. before pre-credentialed media. After returning to the White House, he joins seven more tele-rallies starting at 4:00 p.m., with the last set for 8:15 p.m.

Trump previewed the event on Sunday after arriving in Iowa. According to the Associated Press, he said he wanted to speak at the Reflecting Pool "to show how beautiful it is." The pool's restoration, repainting and refilling was one of the capital beautification projects Trump championed in his second term, and the work was completed in June.

On Sunday, Trump held his final in-person rallies of the campaign in Dubuque, Iowa, and Salina, Kansas. According to The Wall Street Journal, a senior White House official said Monday's remarks would focus on the agenda advanced by his administration and Republicans in Congress since the start of his second term.

The November 3 midterms will decide all 435 House seats and 35 Senate seats. Republicans currently hold the House 218 to 214 and the Senate 53 to 47; Democrats need a net gain of four Senate seats to retake the majority.
