Monday, November 2, 2026 · White House · GSM News

The White House on November 2 published a document on its official website titled "President Trump's Second Term: Promises Made, Promises Kept, Results Delivered," listing 127 promises alongside the White House's own account of how each was fulfilled. The release came on the eve of the November 3 midterm election voting day. The document is the White House's self-assessment of the administration's record, and all figures below are as stated in the document itself.

The document is organized into 24 sections covering the border and immigration, deportations, community safety, inflation and the cost of living, tax cuts, trade and manufacturing, agriculture, energy, foreign policy and military strength, justice, Social Security and Medicare, education, election security, and super intelligence (SI), digital assets and space. Each entry pairs a "promise made" with a White House-marked "promise kept."

In the tax section, the White House said the Working Families Tax Cuts, including No Tax on Tips, No Tax on Overtime and No Tax on Social Security, is now law. It said that in the first filing season, more than 53 million filers claimed at least one of the new signature tax cuts, the average refund topped $3,400, up 11 percent, more than six million filers claimed the No Tax on Tips deduction with an average deduction of more than $7,100, and more than 25 million filers claimed the No Tax on Overtime deduction with an average deduction of more than $3,100.

In the border section, the White House said Border Patrol recorded 98,708 southwest border apprehensions in fiscal year 2026, a 95 percent drop from the more than 1.8 million per year under the Biden administration, with nationwide encounters at the lowest in the agency's history. In the public safety section, it said the U.S. murder rate fell 18.1 percent in 2025, tying the lowest rate ever recorded, while violent crime posted its largest annual drop on record, and that in the first half of 2026 violent crime fell another 10.6 percent and murders another 23 percent.

The election security section listed executive and legal actions the White House described as securing elections and ensuring only U.S. citizens can vote, and the super intelligence section listed policy actions on super intelligence, digital assets and space. The White House said President Trump has "kept more promises than any modern President." U.S. voters headed to the polls on November 3 for the midterms, with all 435 U.S. House seats and 35 Senate seats on the ballot.
