Hillary Clinton on The View: If Democrats Retake Both Chambers, Trump Will Get "Even More Out of Control"

Former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton appeared on ABC's talk show The View on November 2, alongside her podcast co-host Kara Swisher, to discuss the November 3 midterm elections. She sounded optimistic about Democratic prospects while saying she would keep worrying until every vote was fairly and completely counted.
Clinton predicted what would follow if Republicans lose control of Congress: “If we are successful in winning both the House and the Senate, which I hope we will be, then I think he's going to get even more out of control because I think he's going to feel cornered.” Trump would feel angry and lash out, she said, but a Democratic-controlled Congress would at least have leverage to hold him to account.
She also accused the Trump side of already trying to interfere with the election through legal actions and threats to seize ballots, and predicted post-election efforts to persuade some states not to certify results; state and local election officials and legal groups would not let that go unanswered, she added. Those characterizations were Clinton's own statements on the program.
The November 3 midterms will decide all 435 House seats and 35 Senate seats, and control of both chambers will shape the legislative environment for the rest of President Trump's term.
