San Diego County Launches El Niño Readiness Page for Businesses With a Six-Point Plan

The County of San Diego, California, on November 2 launched a new webpage, "Get Your Business Ready for El Niño," offering business owners a six-point plan for protecting property, employees and profits during storm season. The page is part of the county's El Niño Information Hub.
The county advises business owners to understand the hazards their area may face, to check for areas that could be damaged by flooding, to review insurance policies and leases, and to photograph property and assets to document their condition before any damage occurs.
El Niño winters typically bring heavier rain and storms to Southern California, raising flood risk for businesses in low-lying and riverside areas. The county published the business-specific guidance so owners across the county can prepare in advance.
