Isabel Leonard Sings Ravel with the San Francisco Symphony November 6–8, Fabien Gabel Conducting
Davies Symphony Hall (201 Van Ness Ave) in San Francisco, California, hosts the San Francisco Symphony on November 6–8: Fabien Gabel conducts and mezzo-soprano Isabel Leonard sings Ravel's Shéhérazade, at 7:30 p.m. on November 6 and 2 p.m. on November 8; see the orchestra calendar for the full run.
The program spans a century: Vincent d'Indy's symphonic poem Istar opens, Leonard also sings Debussy's Le jet d'eau — both works in their first San Francisco Symphony performances — and the concert closes with the first local performances of Richard Strauss's Symphonic Fantasy on Die Frau ohne Schatten.
Tickets are sold through the San Francisco Symphony website and box office at (415) 864-6000; see the seating pages for prices.
