Jaap van Zweden Conducts Rachmaninov's Second Symphony in Chicago November 19–21, Gluzman Soloist
Orchestra Hall at Chicago Symphony Center (220 S. Michigan Ave) in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, hosts the Chicago Symphony Orchestra on November 19–21 at 7:30 p.m.: Jaap van Zweden conducts and violinist Vadim Gluzman is the soloist.
Gluzman plays Prokofiev's Violin Concerto No. 2, and the second half is Rachmaninov's Symphony No. 2 — which the orchestra calls the equivalent of a binge-watch drama, each movement drawing listeners into the next — alongside a work by Julia Wolfe.
Tickets are sold through the Chicago Symphony Orchestra website and the Symphony Center box office; see the seating pages for prices.
