49th Dana Point Turkey Trot Runs Thanksgiving Morning, November 26, at Dana Point Harbor
Dana Point Harbor in Dana Point, Orange County, California, hosts the 49th annual Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 26: the 10K starts at 7 a.m., 5K waves follow at 8:30 and 9:30 a.m., a 5K family walk starts at 10 a.m., and the Kids' 1-Mile Gobble Wobble (ages 2–12) at 10:30 a.m. Watching is free; entry fees vary by race on the official registration pages (cost: free for spectators, paid entry for runners).
Hosted by the Dana Point Chamber of Commerce, the morning includes a 9 a.m. costume contest at the start line. Packet pickup is at the Dana Marina Plaza lot, 25001 Dana Point Harbor Drive, on November 25 from noon to 6 p.m. and on race morning from 6 to 11 a.m.; this year's charity partners are the Boys & Girls Clubs of Capistrano Valley and the RH Dana Elementary School Booster Club, with free race-day shuttles from two lots.
