Tuesday, November 3, 2026 · States · GSM News

Carson City, Nevada — Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo released his 2027-2030 strategic plan in Carson City on November 3, setting the direction of state government for the next four years. The governor's office said the plan establishes nine policy priorities aimed at delivering services to residents more effectively, improving education outcomes, building a business-friendly economic environment and raising the quality of life for Nevada families.

The nine priorities cover education and workforce, economic growth and business development, health and wellness, public safety and infrastructure, government support services, rural and natural resources, housing supply and attainability, fiscal stewardship and data center policy. A policy matrix accompanies the plan to guide executive departments and agencies over the next four years, and agencies are expected to develop measurable indicators of progress for each priority.

Lombardo said in a statement that the plan centers on making state services more responsive to residents' real needs while creating a more stable environment for businesses and families. The governor's office published the full plan the same day, and departments will be assessed regularly against it, with education, the economy and public services as key measures.
