Trinitarios Gang Member Pleads Guilty to RICO Conspiracy Involving Home Invasion

Tuesday, November 3, 2026 · Justice · GSM News

BOSTON — A member of the Boston Chapter of the Trinitarios gang pleaded guilty on October 28 to racketeering conspiracy charges, including a home invasion robbery in July 2025 in Lawrence, Massachusetts, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Massachusetts announced. Yoldari Tejeda Coronado, also known as "Nonoy," 25, of Lawrence, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to conduct enterprise affairs through a pattern of racketeering activity. U.S. Senior District Court Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton scheduled sentencing for January 27, 2027. Coronado was arrested and charged in December 2025 as part of a related case.

At the plea hearing, Coronado admitted he had been a member of the Boston Chapter of the Trinitarios since at least 2023, and admitted conspiring to commit the July 2025 home invasion in Lawrence, during which two gunmen forced an individual into their residence and robbed it. Investigators found that a vehicle associated with Coronado's girlfriend had been used by the robbers.

Prosecutors said Coronado was also recorded offering to rob a drug stash house, discussing the plan with undercover agents posing as people responsible for transporting a large quantity of cocaine for a Mexican drug cartel, and agreeing to take multiple kilograms of cocaine as payment. In another recorded conversation, the gang's State Supreme, Enmanuel Paula-Cabral, described Coronado as having robbed a drug dealer, and said he had used his authority as a leader to have Coronado return the drugs.

The Justice Department describes the Trinitarios as a violent criminal enterprise with thousands of members across the United States. Federal racketeering charges were unsealed against 22 leaders and members in February 2025, and additional charges against 26 more were unsealed on June 9, 2026, bringing the total number of federally charged murders attributed to the enterprise to 11 and the total number of federal defendants to 56. The RICO conspiracy charge carries a sentence of up to life in prison, five years of supervised release and a fine of up to $250,000, with the actual sentence imposed by a federal judge under the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines.
