The Union Home Foundation announced on November 3 its grant recipients for the third quarter of 2026, awarding grants to 11 nonprofits in seven states totaling $67,000. The foundation, the charitable arm of Union Home Mortgage, said this round of funding supports organizations within its operational footprint that are advancing financial literacy and housing access.

The largest grants, $10,000 each, went to Life of a Single Mom in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in support of Single Mom University, an online education portal with more than 200 life-skills classes in parenting, finances, and health and wellness; Hope Ignites Northeastern Ohio in Garfield Heights, Ohio, in support of financial literacy education from middle school through career launch; and Volunteers of America Ohio & Indiana in Sandusky, Ohio, in support of Crossroads Shelter, which provides emergency housing and wrap-around family services. Other recipients included Homeless Youth Connection in Phoenix, Arizona ($7,500), OhioGuidestone in Berea and The City Mission in Cleveland, Ohio ($5,000 each), and organizations in Illinois, Kentucky, North Carolina and South Carolina ($2,500 each).

"The work being done by these nonprofits goes beyond meeting immediate needs – they are creating long-term stability and success," said Bill Cosgrove, CEO of Union Home Mortgage. Executive Director Courtney Cook said the impact the organizations have on their communities is inspiring, and that their dedication to creating opportunities for stability and growth is exactly what the foundation looks for when selecting grant recipients.

Established in 2015, the Union Home Foundation has distributed more than $2 million in financial support to nonprofits in over 23 states, with a mission to equip individuals and families with the tools and resources to achieve economic self-sufficiency, specifically through financial literacy and housing.
