Connecticut Governor Election: AP Projects Lamont Wins Re-election

The Associated Press projected on the evening of November 3 that Democratic incumbent Governor Ned Lamont has won re-election in Connecticut, defeating Republican Ryan Fazio.
When the AP made the call, 115 of Connecticut's 778 precincts had reported, or 14.78%, with an estimated 9.4% of the total vote counted. Lamont had 71,564 votes to Fazio's 47,569. Counting is continuing; the figures are unofficial and final results are subject to certification by state election officials.
The victory gives Lamont a third term as governor. The governor's race was held statewide on the same day as the federal Senate and House elections, with Hartford as the state capital.
