New Hampshire Senate Election: AP Projects Pappas Wins

Tuesday, November 3, 2026 · States · GSM News

The Associated Press projected on the evening of November 3 that Democratic candidate Chris Pappas has won New Hampshire's U.S. Senate election, defeating Republican John Sununu.

When the AP made the call, 120 of New Hampshire's 318 precincts had reported, or 37.74%, with an estimated 38.98% of the total vote counted. Pappas had 156,078 votes, Sununu 108,750 and Constitution Party candidate Edmond Laplante 4,707. Counting is continuing; the figures are unofficial and final results are subject to certification by state election officials.

Pappas currently serves as a U.S. representative from New Hampshire. The Senate race was held statewide on the same day as the governor and House elections, with Concord as the state capital.
