New Jersey Senate Election: AP Projects Booker Wins Re-election

Tuesday, November 3, 2026 · States · GSM News

The Associated Press projected on the evening of November 3 that Democratic incumbent U.S. Senator Cory Booker has won re-election in New Jersey, defeating Republican Justin Murphy.

When the AP made the call, 3,784 of New Jersey's 6,508 precincts had reported, or 58.14%, with an estimated 58.16% of the total vote counted. Booker had 1,166,646 votes, Murphy 594,505, Veronica Fernandez 26,284 and Joanne Kuniansky 16,191. Counting is continuing; the figures are unofficial and final results are subject to certification by state election officials.

The Senate race was held statewide on the same day as the House elections, with Trenton as the state capital.
