Shilo Sanders Leaves a West Palm Beach Food Review After a Stranger Confronts Him Over His Father Deion
On November 1, former football player Shilo Sanders posted a food-review video filmed in West Palm Beach, Florida, to his own YouTube channel, titled "Shilo Gets Pressed in the Hood Doing a Food Review – Hook Fish & Chicken." The video was then picked up by TMZ and other outlets, and clips reposted on Instagram and other platforms drew tens of thousands of likes.
According to Sanders' own video and TMZ's reporting, he had ordered wings from Hook Fish & Chicken before and liked them, and returned to film the spot. While he was ordering at the counter, a man who said he was from the neighborhood approached him, speaking aggressively about his father, University of Colorado head football coach Deion Sanders, and accused the Sanders family of not doing anything for the West Palm Beach community.
The confrontation continued from the restaurant into the parking lot. As described by several sports outlets from the footage, the man at one point reached into his own vehicle, and Sanders got in his car and drove off, unharmed. No police report or arrest connected to the incident has been reported, the man has not been identified, and his side of the story has not been reported. The video does not establish that the man had a weapon, and online claims that he pulled a gun are unverified and are not adopted here.
Speaking to the camera from his car, Sanders explained why he left: "I don't understand what he got against Deion Sanders, but he tripping." He said he did not want to become involved in a physical confrontation that could create legal paperwork or result in someone being harmed, so he chose to walk away, leaving his cameraman to wait for the food and meet up afterward.
Shilo Sanders, 26, is the son of Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders. He played safety at the University of Colorado, signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent in 2025 and was released during the preseason. He now works mainly as a video creator, posting lifestyle videos, pranks and restaurant reviews.
