Indiana Governor Announces New Round of Board Appointments: Ten Actions Cover Bond Bank, Racing Commission and More

Indiana Governor Mike Braun announced a new round of appointments and reappointments to state boards and commissions on November 3, covering ten appointment actions across finance, licensing, workforce and natural resources. The appointments were announced in Indianapolis, the state capital.
Among the named appointees, Tera Klutz joins the Indiana Bond Bank Board of Directors; the bank's website lists her term as running from November 2, 2026 to October 31, 2029, and she resides in Fishers. John Hammond IV joins the board of the Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites, Dr. Michael Jenkins joins the Invasive Species Council, Greg Schenkel joins the Horse Racing Commission, Shawn Taylor joins the State Fair Commission, Kara Riggle joins the Indiana Finance Authority Board, and Karen Sauer joins the Home Inspectors Licensing Board.
The round also covers bodies including the State Workforce Development Board. The Bond Bank helps local units finance projects through bond issues, the Finance Authority oversees state infrastructure financing, the Horse Racing Commission regulates the state's racing industry, and the Home Inspectors Licensing Board oversees licensing for that trade.
Gubernatorial appointments to state boards are a routine part of Indiana state government, and the new members will take part in the agencies' decisions and oversight over the coming years.
