Anaheim Opens Project-Based Voucher Waiting Lists November 5 for 46 Affordable Units

Wednesday, November 4, 2026 · City · GSM News

The Anaheim Housing Authority in Orange County, California, announced that it will begin accepting pre-application referrals on November 5, 2026, for the Project-Based Voucher waiting lists of the Southeast Corner of Beach & Lincoln project. The project, at 208 S. Beach Blvd., offers 46 affordable one-bedroom units for households of one to three people.

The notice describes two separate lists: 37 units for seniors age 62 and older, and nine units for Transitional Aged Youth ages 18 to 24. Some senior units may be designated for households eligible under the Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) program. Age, income, program-specific eligibility and waiting-list preferences apply.

Referral paths differ by list: HOPWA applicants must be referred by Radiant Health Centers, Transitional Aged Youth applicants must be referred by a service provider, and senior applicants are directed to the Anaheim Housing Authority's housing information. The authority advises applicants to confirm the correct category and referral pathway before the November 5 opening and to follow only the official public notice.

Project-based voucher assistance is tied to designated units, unlike tenant-based vouchers that can be used with an eligible participating landlord. The authority notes that joining the waiting list does not guarantee a unit or a specific placement date.
