Sacramento Launches Love 916 Beautification Campaign With November 7 Volunteer Kickoff

The City of Sacramento, in Sacramento County, California, is introducing Love 916, a community beautification initiative designed to bring residents, local businesses and organizations together to improve parks, streets and public spaces across the city. The campaign will officially launch on Saturday, November 7, 2026, with a volunteer event at Cesar Chavez Park.
The kickoff runs from 9 a.m. to noon, with participants gathering at 910 I Street. Volunteers will spend the morning improving the park through hands-on activities including planting annual flowers, spreading mulch and picking up litter. Residents can register online through the link published by the city.
The initiative brings together partners including Niagara Cares, Keep California Beautiful, Keep America Beautiful, the city's Department of Youth, Parks & Community Enrichment (YPCE) and Vice Mayor Karina Talamantes. The city said additional events and volunteer opportunities will follow in neighborhoods throughout Sacramento, with dates and locations to be announced.
