Macao Chief Executive Sam Hou Fai Leaves for Shanghai to Attend the Ninth CIIE Opening
Macao SAR Chief Executive Sam Hou Fai left for Shanghai on the afternoon of November 4 to attend, at invitation, the opening ceremony and related events of the ninth China International Import Expo (CIIE) on November 5. He is accompanied by Secretary for Economy and Finance Wu Wai Han, and the delegation will return to Macao on November 5. During Sam's absence, Secretary for Administration and Justice Wong Sio Chak serves as acting Chief Executive.
The ninth CIIE runs in Shanghai from November 5 to 10, with 162 countries, regions and international organisations taking part. Macao companies will exhibit in the Macao and Portuguese-Speaking Countries Food and Beverage Pavilion and the Macao and Portuguese-Speaking Countries Professional Services Pavilion, showcasing Macao-made products, Macao brands, food and drink from Portuguese-speaking countries, and a range of professional services.
