The U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of New Hampshire announced on November 4 that Xiao Yu, 28, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in New Hampshire to taking part in an interstate warehouse robbery. U.S. Attorney Erin Creegan said Yu, a citizen of China recently living in New Jersey, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Steven McAuliffe, as did co-defendant Nasaiah Johnson, 25, recently of Baltimore, Maryland.

According to court documents and statements made in court, Johnson and Yu, along with four co-conspirators, traveled from New York to New England for the purpose of robbing a local business. Yu rented a box truck from a rental agency in Medford, Massachusetts, and purchased supplies from a hardware store there. The group then traveled to a business in Londonderry, New Hampshire, where five individuals, including Johnson, entered the business, threatened an employee with what appeared to be a firearm and restrained the victim. They stole merchandise and goods, loading the items into the box truck, which Yu drove away, while the other co-conspirators fled in a sedan and returned to New York.

The charge of conspiracy to interfere with commerce by robbery carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison, a $250,000 fine and not more than three years of supervised release, with the sentence to be imposed by a federal district judge based on the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and governing statutes. Johnson's sentencing is set for February 16, 2027, and Yu's for February 23, 2027.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation led the investigation, with assistance from the Londonderry Police Department, the New Hampshire State Police, the Massachusetts State Police and the New York Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Matthew Vicinanzo is prosecuting the case.
