IRS Nationwide Tax Forum Online Launches New 2026 Seminars for Tax Professionals

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) announced in Washington on November 4 the launch of the 2026 IRS Nationwide Tax Forum Online, giving tax professionals access to more than a dozen seminars recorded at this year's IRS Nationwide Tax Forum and the opportunity to earn continuing education credits.
The online forum covers current tax law, IRS procedures and essential topics for the upcoming filing season. Seminars feature interactive video presentations synchronized with PowerPoint slides, downloadable resources and full transcripts. Of the 15 new 2026 seminars, 12 run 50 minutes each and three run 100 minutes each.
Each 50-minute seminar costs $29 for one continuing education credit; the 100-minute seminars cost $58 for two credits. Courses may also be audited for free. Tax professionals access the seminars by logging into or creating an account on the IRS Nationwide Tax Forum Online website.
"Tax professionals play a key role in the nation's tax system by providing an important link between the Service and the taxpaying public, helping them understand their tax obligations," said IRS Chief Executive Officer Frank J. Bisignano. "As the IRS continues its transformation into a Digital-First agency, these updated seminars provide timely updates to help tax pros stay current and learn more about emerging areas of tax law."
New seminar topics include digital asset information reporting, data breach response, refundable credits, the new deductions for tips, overtime and car loan interest under the Working Families Tax Cuts Act, updated retirement plan guidance, recognizing emerging schemes, and professional practice standards under Circular 230. The online forum is registered with the IRS Tax Professional Management Office and the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy as an approved continuing education sponsor for enrolled agents, certified public accountants and Annual Filing Season Program participants.
