Alzheimer's Prevention and Care: Dr. Yang's Free Public Health Lecture Tonight at 6 p.m. PT on Zoom

The U.S. Shenzhen Federation's public-interest medical lecture series holds its latest session online via Zoom on Wednesday, November 4 at 6 p.m. Pacific Time. Titled "Alzheimer's Is a Disease of the Brain: How to Prevent It, How to Treat It," the free session is presented by Dr. Yang, president of California University Silicon Valley, under the theme "Don't Let Forgetting Destroy a Family."
The talk covers three questions: which early warning signs are being dismissed as simply "getting old"; how families can respond scientifically when a patient shows sudden mood changes or nighttime agitation; and how caregivers can take care of themselves first so they can keep caring for their loved ones. The organizers note that Alzheimer's is a disease of the brain, not ordinary aging, and that its early signs deserve attention.
The session is suited to families whose elders are showing memory decline, to family members and caregivers of Alzheimer's patients, and to anyone who wants to learn about brain-health prevention for their parents.
Dr. Yang is a well-known Silicon Valley practitioner of traditional Chinese medicine for chronic conditions, with 29 years of clinical experience, and serves as president and professor of California University Silicon Valley. The lecture is part of the university's weekly Wednesday public medical-education series on diseases and wellness, shared with the U.S. Shenzhen Federation, with FRESH LEMON, a Chinese health-literacy group, among the collaborating partners.
To join: at 6 p.m. Pacific on Wednesday, November 4 (8 p.m. Central, 9 p.m. Eastern; 10 a.m. Thursday in China), open Zoom and enter meeting ID 271 346 4046 with passcode 6868, or use the session link: Join the Zoom meeting.
