Metallica Makes Mohegan Sun Arena Debut Nov 19 and 21 With Two Different Setlists
Metallica will play two nights at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, New London County, Connecticut - Thursday, November 19 and Saturday, November 21, both at 8:00 p.m. - as a special engagement marking the arena's 25th anniversary. It is Metallica's first-ever performance at the venue and the band's first Connecticut show since 1998.
Mohegan Sun Arena, at 1 Mohegan Sun Boulevard, Uncasville, CT 06382 in New London County, Connecticut, is the roughly 10,000-seat arena inside the Mohegan Sun resort, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this November.
The two nights follow the band's "No Repeat Weekend" format: completely different setlists and different opening guests - Suicidal Tendencies on November 19 and Spiritbox on November 21.
Formed in Los Angeles in 1981 by James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich, with Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo completing the current lineup, Metallica has sold nearly 125 million albums worldwide and stands among the most successful metal bands in history. Its most recent album, 72 Seasons, was released in 2023.
