India: Fourth Conference of Mining Ministers Held in Goa on November 5-6 With State Ministers and Senior Officials
The Ministry of Mines of India is organising the fourth Conference of Mining Ministers on November 5-6, 2026 in Goa, bringing together mining ministers from various states and senior officials from the central and state governments, the ministry said in a release issued through the Press Information Bureau on November 5.
The conference is the annual platform for coordination between India's central government and the states on mineral development, mining rights administration and sector policy. This year's edition gathers state mining ministers alongside officials of both levels of government in Goa for two days of deliberations on the sector's shared agenda.
Goa is one of India's significant iron ore producing regions. Any resolutions and arrangements reached at the meeting are to be announced by the ministry after the conference concludes.
