'Postcard from Vienna' Plays Chicago December 10-12: Muti Conducts, Bronfman Plays Mozart
Orchestra Hall at Symphony Center (220 S. Michigan Ave) in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, hosts Postcard from Vienna on December 10 at 7:30 p.m., December 11 at 1:30 p.m. and December 12 at 7:30 p.m., with Riccardo Muti conducting the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and pianist Yefim Bronfman as soloist.
The program pairs Cherubini's Overture in G Major and Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 24 with overtures, waltzes and polkas by the Strauss family, a postcard from Vienna's musical golden age. Bronfman is a longtime CSO collaborator.
Tickets are sold through the Chicago Symphony website at cso.org and the Symphony Center box office; see the seating pages for prices.
