Matthew McConaughey Turns 57: Fourteen Years with Camila and Three Kids in the Spotlight
Oscar winner Matthew McConaughey turned 57 on November 4, and People marked the occasion with a look through the family album he shares with his wife of 14 years, Camila Alves McConaughey. The couple are parents to Levi, 18, Vida, 16, and Livingston, 13, and the family of five has been stepping out together more often.
In October 2026 the couple brought Levi to the Airbnb.org gala in Los Angeles, and in January McConaughey shared a three-generation photo for his mother Kay's 94th birthday. Levi, now pursuing acting himself, wrote in a birthday tribute when his father turned 54: "People know Matthew McConaughey as an actor and now a writer, but I know him as my father."
Born November 4, 1969, in Uvalde, Texas, and raised in Longview, McConaughey broke through with Dazed and Confused, won the Academy Award for Dallas Buyers Club and headlined Interstellar. He met Camila in 2006 and married her in Austin in 2012; the family lives in Austin.
At 57, McConaughey remains busy as an author, professor and tequila co-founder, but he has repeatedly said family comes first.
