TSMC Arizona and Fresh Start Women's Foundation build a pipeline for women technicians

TSMC Arizona is working with the Fresh Start Women's Foundation to open a path into semiconductor technician jobs for women. Equipment technician Jennifer De La Cruz is one of the trainees who entered through the program: Fresh Start partners with Arizona colleges on free technician courses that run for weeks rather than months, and graduates can move into roles at companies such as TSMC.
Fresh Start says TSMC Arizona granted the foundation $20,000 in 2026 to support its workforce programs. TSMC's total U.S. investment stands at $265 billion, with more than six fabs, two advanced packaging facilities and an R&D center planned and thousands of jobs expected; recruiting and training women technicians is part of its local talent pipeline.
