Federal court in Chicago holds preliminary injunction hearing over Operation Midway Blitz tactics; injunction issued November 6

The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois held a preliminary injunction hearing on November 5-6 over federal agents' treatment of protesters, journalists and clergy during Operation Midway Blitz. The case, brought by the Chicago Headline Club and others against Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and other officials, is before Judge Sara L. Ellis.
The plaintiffs allege that federal personnel used improper force and crowd-control tactics against journalists, protesters and clergy during immigration enforcement in the Chicago area. After the hearing concluded, the court issued a preliminary injunction on November 6 restricting agents' tactics in the region.
