Airbnb Third-Quarter Revenue Rises 19% to $4.87 Billion: Fastest Growth in Over Three Years, Full-Year Outlook Raised With New $12 Billion Buyback

San Francisco — Airbnb, the San Francisco, California-based lodging booking platform, on November 5 reported third-quarter 2026 results after the market close: revenue rose 19% year over year to $4.87 billion, its fastest growth in more than three years; nights and seats booked grew 16% to 155 million; gross booking value (GBV) rose 21% to $27.7 billion; net income was $1.9 billion; adjusted EBITDA rose 22% to $2.5 billion, a 52% margin; and diluted earnings per share were $3.16.
In its shareholder letter, the company said growth accelerated across every region, with nights booked in North America growing at their fastest pace in four years and first-time bookers up 13%, the highest since early 2022, driven by strong demand and moderately higher average daily rates. During the quarter the company rolled out its fall product update and continued expanding hotel listings and local services.
For the fourth quarter, Airbnb expects revenue of $3.22 billion to $3.28 billion, up 16% to 18% year over year. For full-year 2026, the company raised its revenue growth outlook to the high teens, from at least mid-teens previously, and expects an adjusted EBITDA margin of approximately 36%.
The company also announced a new authorization to repurchase up to an additional $12 billion of its Class A common stock, which it said reflects confidence in its future growth. (Source: Airbnb)
