McDonald's Third-Quarter Net Income Rises 9% to $2.49 Billion: U.S. Same-Store Sales Slip 0.2%, Quarterly Dividend Raised 4%

Chicago — McDonald's on November 4 reported results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2026: total revenues were $7.157 billion, up 1% from $7.078 billion a year earlier; net income rose 9% to $2.486 billion, from $2.278 billion; diluted earnings per share were $3.51, up 10%; and adjusted diluted earnings per share, excluding restructuring charges, were $3.57. Consolidated operating income rose 7% to $3.595 billion.
Global comparable sales increased 1.5%, with the International Operated Markets segment up 1.4% and International Developmental Licensed Markets up 4.2%. Comparable sales in the U.S. decreased 0.2%, as weaker guest traffic was largely offset by check growth, the company said. Systemwide sales grew 4% to more than $38 billion, and systemwide sales to loyalty members across 70 markets reached $41 billion over the trailing twelve months.
McDonald's declared a 4% increase in its quarterly cash dividend, to $1.93 per share.
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Chris Kempczinski said McDonald's delivered another quarter of global growth, with solid performance across much of its international business. (Source: McDonald's)
