Thursday, November 5, 2026 · California · GSM News

The Planning Commission of Beverly Hills, in Los Angeles County, California, will hold its regular meeting on Thursday, November 12, at 1:30 p.m. in Room 280A at City Hall, 455 North Rexford Drive. The agenda has been published.

Two items headline the agenda: a public hearing on a draft ordinance that would make California Senate Bill 9 (SB 9) permanent in the city, amending single-family residential development regulations and setting objective standards for two-primary-unit projects and urban lot splits; and a study session on updating the state Model Water Efficient Landscape Ordinance (MWELO), covering landscape design, irrigation efficiency, soil preparation and water conservation, including a proposed local provision accounting for effective precipitation in landscape water budgets.

The agenda also includes approval of the October 22 meeting minutes and reports on the current development projects list and the 2026 and 2027 meeting schedules. Members of the public may comment in person, by phone at 310-288-2288, or by email at [email protected]; written comments should be submitted by 11:30 a.m. on the meeting day and are limited to 350 words. The city also notes that pre-entry metal detector screening is now in place at City Hall.
