Las Vegas to Host Free Noontime Veterans Appreciation Concert Downtown on Nov. 12, With Food Trucks and a Farmers Market

The City of Las Vegas, in Clark County, Nevada, announced on November 5 that it will host a free Veterans Appreciation Concert at noon on Thursday, November 12, at the Las Vegas Civic Center outdoor plaza, 525 S. Main St., downtown. The event is free and open to the public.
The Swing It! Girls, a vintage-inspired vocal trio, will perform swing, jazz and early pop favorites with three-part harmonies, playful choreography and retro style starting at noon. The event will also feature a live trumpet performance of Taps by T.A.P.P.S., a group of professional trumpeters dedicated to providing quality Taps performances at military funerals at no cost to military families.
Food trucks and a farmers market will be on site the same day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. as part of Food Truck Thursday. Attendees can purchase lunch from a featured veteran-owned food truck and eat at plaza tables or picnic on the lawn. Food trucks expected include Major Muncheez, Tamalove, Sushito and Don Carnitas y Tacos, and are subject to change without notice.
Local nonprofits, community organizations and veteran-serving partners will be on hand to share resources for veterans and their families. Parking is available across the street at the 500 S. Main St. parking garage, with free two-hour parking validations available at the city tent on the plaza while supplies last. (Source: City of Las Vegas)
