Westminster Offers Two Reimbursement Grants for Small Businesses: Up to $2,500 for Retail Refresh, $1,000 for Tech Upgrades

The City of Westminster, in Orange County, California, announced in its November economic development newsletter two reimbursement grants for local small businesses: up to $2,500 through the Retail Refresh and Eats Fresh Eyes program and up to $1,000 for technology upgrades, with a limited number of grants available.
The Retail Refresh and Eats Fresh Eyes program offers up to $2,500 of qualifying expenses, evaluating a business's marketing strategy, storefront presentation and customer experience to increase foot traffic and modernize operations. Eligible businesses must have a commercial brick-and-mortar location in the city, an active business license for at least one year and a minimum of two employees, and attend one-on-one counseling with the Small Business Development Center (SBDC). The grant can be used for CRM systems, e-commerce platforms, website development, SEO, online marketing, camera systems and storefront improvements.
The technology grant offers up to $1,000 for accessibility, cybersecurity and workforce technology upgrades, including computers, phones, software, point-of-sale systems, website upgrades, marketing, ADA improvements and employee training. Businesses apply, complete a free virtual one-on-one SBDC consultation, and submit a purchase receipt, a W-9 and proof of an active business license to receive reimbursement.
The city also noted that Small Business Saturday falls on November 28, encouraging residents to shop and dine locally during the holiday season.
