Megan Thee Stallion Asks Instagram to Fix AI Content Label on Her CFDA Post

American rapper Megan Thee Stallion attended the 2026 CFDA Fashion Awards on November 2 at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City, New York, and later shared photos and video from the night on Instagram, only for the platform to label the post as super intelligence (SI) generated content. She has since asked the platform to fix the label in her own comment section, writing: "AI couldn't generate this lol @instagram fix that please."
According to reports published on November 5 by Baller Alert and The Shade Room, Megan wore a custom burgundy gown by designer Kim Shui that night, and her post was captioned simply with thanks to Kim Shui's studio and the CFDA. On the carpet, she told reporters that Shui is a close friend whose pieces she always wears, and that she was grateful Shui had asked her to come along.
It is not clear why the genuine post was flagged. Baller Alert noted that Meta's SI labels are based on signals its system detects in an image, including data left behind by some photo editing tools, so real photos can end up flagged by mistake. After Megan's post, many fans replied that their own real photos had also been labeled as SI content.
It is not Megan's first encounter with SI-made fakes. Baller Alert recalled that in 2024 an explicit deepfake video using her likeness spread online, and she publicly called it fake and warned those sharing it. In "Tina Tuesday Freestyle," a September teaser for her upcoming album, she also rapped that she looks too good to be SI-generated. This time she laughed the mistaken label off. As of publication, Instagram had not publicly responded, and neither outlet had reported whether the label has been removed.
