San Diego Opera closes its 2026-27 season with Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro at the San Diego Civic Theatre, 1100 Third Avenue in San Diego, San Diego County, California, opening Friday, April 2, 2027, at 7:30 p.m., with further performances April 3 at 7:30 p.m. and April 4 at 2:00 p.m. Gary Thor Wedow conducts and Stephen Lawless directs, with the San Diego Symphony Orchestra in the pit.
Lorenzo Da Ponte's libretto, based on Beaumarchais, follows Figaro's wedding day at the Almaviva estate: disguises, desire, deception and, finally, forgiveness, in one madcap day. Sung in Italian with English and Spanish supertitles, it runs about three hours and 18 minutes including one intermission.
Tickets are available at sdopera.org or by phone at 619-232-7636.
