Associated Bank Commits $2.1 Million in Community Investment Across Nebraska

OMAHA, Neb. — Associated Bank and its foundation announced on November 6 that they will invest $2.1 million in community development projects across Nebraska and in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Associated Bank president and CEO Andy Harmening announced the commitment at the Salvation Army's Christmas tree lighting family festival. Of the total, $100,000 goes to the Salvation Army Western Division to support youth programs at the North Omaha North Corps Community Center, including after-school programs and summer day camps, to be paid out over four years at $25,000 a year starting in January 2027; the remaining $2 million will go through the foundation to community organizations in the two states.
It is Associated Bank's first large-scale community investment in the Omaha area since it completed the conversion of U.S. Bank customer accounts in October. The bank said the investment aims to carry on U.S. Bank's tradition of serving local communities, supporting youth education and community development.
