Fifth Hawaii AI and Cloud Innovation Summit Held in Honolulu
HONOLULU, Hawaii — The fifth Hawaii AI and Cloud Innovation Summit was held on November 6 at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort in Honolulu, drawing hundreds of leaders from business, government, nonprofits, education and technology.
Convened by the TRUE Initiative and co-hosted by the Hawaii Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism, the Hawaii Technology Development Corporation and the Hawaii Executive Collaborative, the summit explored how Hawaii can turn artificial intelligence from experimentation into practical solutions that strengthen its economy and workforce.
The day's agenda included a keynote by Peter Schwartz, chief futures officer at Salesforce, along with speeches and panel discussions featuring leaders from government, industry, academia and the nonprofit sector.
Organizers said the summit focused on how Hawaii can build greater AI self-reliance through locally governed infrastructure, data, workforce development and responsible deployment strategies. This was the fifth consecutive year the summit has been held.
