[Video] FBI's New York Office Releases 'NYO Remembers 9/11' Documentary: Employees and Families Tell How That Day Changed Their Lives

Friday, November 6, 2026 · Federal · GSM News

On November 6, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) released the full-length documentary 'NYO Remembers 9/11: A Collection of our Stories' on its official YouTube channel, running 1 hour, 49 minutes and 54 seconds. Three installment episodes were posted the same day, running 51:52, 30:35 and 27:29. The full collection is embedded on this page.

According to the FBI's description, the documentary was made in memory of the 25th anniversary of 9/11 and highlights the impact that day had on the lives of FBI employees, past and present, and their families. Through personal recollections, they share how much their lives changed and how important it is that these stories continue to be told.

The FBI's New York Office, which produced the series, was one of the central field offices in the response to the attacks and the investigation that followed. On September 11, 2001, the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York were destroyed in the terrorist attacks, killing nearly 3,000 people; 2026 marks the 25th anniversary.

The FBI says the personal recollections provide a window into the past, and that telling the stories is itself part of remembering.
