Associated Bank Commits $2.1 Million in Community Investment Across Nebraska and Iowa

Associated Bank and its foundation announced on November 6 that they will invest $2.1 million in community development projects in Nebraska and in Council Bluffs, Iowa. President and CEO Andy Harmening announced the commitment at The Salvation Army's Tree of Lights Family Festival. Of the total, $100,000 goes to The Salvation Army Western Division to support youth programmes, including after-school programmes and summer day camp, at the North Corps Community Center in North Omaha, to be paid from January 2027 in four annual instalments of $25,000; the remaining $2 million will go through the foundation to community organisations in the two states.
It is the bank's first major community investment in the Omaha area since it completed the conversion of American National Bank customer accounts in October. The bank said the investment continues American National Bank's tradition of serving local communities and supports youth education and community development.
