Pikmin Bloom Turns Five: Anniversary Event Runs All November With New Toy Jewelry Decor Pikmin
Nintendo announced on November 5 that the mobile game Pikmin Bloom is turning five, with an anniversary event that began on November 1 and runs until 11:59 p.m. local time on November 30. The game, developed with Niantic, encourages players to walk, plant flowers and collect the small creatures called Pikmin.
Headlining the event are the new 5th Anniversary Toy Jewelry Decor Pikmin, in eight types, whose seedlings can be earned by clearing Event Challenge missions. Two returning favorites join the celebration: the 4th Anniversary Flower Box Decor Pikmin and the 3rd Anniversary Cupcake Decor Pikmin.
Clearing challenge missions during the event earns random rewards such as Fruit Acrylic Charms and flower petals, and a Gold Seedling is guaranteed when the Big Flower at the center of the stage blooms; collecting 600 charms unlocks rewards including limited Mii costumes. Players will also encounter Brilliant Mushrooms that drop Mystery Boxes, and the month's final celebration runs Friday through Monday with four days of Giant Brilliant Mushrooms. Nintendo notes that app version 156 or later is required to display the new Decor Pikmin correctly. The app is free to download with optional in-game purchases. (Source: Nintendo)
