Mattel Names Steve Totzke President and Chief Operating Officer, Effective Nov. 11

Mattel, Inc., the toy giant headquartered in El Segundo, Los Angeles County, California, announced on Nov. 5 the appointment of Steve Totzke as President and Chief Operating Officer, effective Nov. 11, 2026. Totzke will oversee the company's global brand portfolio, sales and commercial operations, and consumer products and experiences, and will report to Chairman and CEO Roger Lynch.
At the same time, Roberto Stanichi, President, Chief Marketing and Brand Officer, will step down from his role effective Nov. 10 to pursue another opportunity. The move is part of a leadership reshuffle under Lynch, who became Chairman in October and formally took over as CEO in early November.
Mattel is one of the world's leading toy and family entertainment companies, with a portfolio that includes Barbie, Hot Wheels, Fisher-Price, and Thomas & Friends. The appointment comes just ahead of the holiday sales season, and the new president and COO will lead brand strategy and global sales channels.
