LA Animal Services Brings Foster Pets to Hollywood Adoption Event This Saturday

Families looking to add a four-legged member have a chance this weekend. Los Angeles Animal Services, in Los Angeles County, California, will host a Tailwaggers adoption event in Hollywood on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., featuring adoptable pets who are currently living in foster care.
According to the department, these animals live with foster volunteers rather than in shelter kennels, so their personalities and habits are already well documented. Staff and foster caregivers will be on hand to help visitors understand each animal's temperament, energy level, and the type of home that suits it best, and adoptions can be completed on site through the department's standard process.
The city's six animal care centers run persistently over capacity, and fostering is a key way to relieve pressure on kennels while helping animals adjust to home life. The department encourages prospective adopters to browse the online list of available animals in advance and bring identification. Those who cannot adopt can also sign up as foster caregivers to give a waiting animal a temporary home.
Beyond Saturday's event, the six centers are open for adoptions Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with appointments required on Wednesdays and Fridays and closures on Mondays. (Source: Los Angeles Animal Services)
