Book Club at Sacramento Public Library's Fair Oaks Branch November 7: Discussing "The Salt Stones"
The Fair Oaks Branch of the Sacramento Public Library, in the Fair Oaks community of Sacramento County, California, will hold its book club on Saturday, November 7, from 11 a.m. to noon in the branch meeting room. This month's selection is The Salt Stones: Seasons of a Shepherd's Life by Helen Whybrow.
The book follows a shepherd's year through the seasons of tending a flock, and has drawn attention as a work of contemporary nature writing. The branch book club meets regularly and welcomes readers interested in the book and in rural life.
